Blow the Trumpets

A Song of Ascents; Psalm 121:1-2

I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Revelation 3:2-3

Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God. Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you. 

Revelation 3:10-12

Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth. I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown. The one who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own new name. 

Isaiah 26:19-21

Your dead shall live; their bodies shall rise.
    You who dwell in the dust, awake and sing for joy!
For your dew is a dew of light,
    and the earth will give birth to the dead.

Come, my people, enter your chambers,
    and shut your doors behind you;
hide yourselves for a little while
    until the fury has passed by.
For behold, the Lord is coming out from his place
    to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity,
and the earth will disclose the blood shed on it,
    and will no more cover its slain.

Revelation 3:20-21

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. ²¹ The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.

Today is 11th September 2026 and tonight, starting at Sundown--Rosh Hashanah will have started and will conclude at Sundown on Sunday the 13th. Which places us at the gate, the very door of everything I have written about these last many months.

Luke 17:34 — "In that night there shall be two in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left." Then Matthew's companions: two in the field, two grinding at the mill. Bed, field, mill — night, midday, morning. Jesus gives three scenes at three hours, and they only cohere as one event if it is planetary: night over Jerusalem while it is noon somewhere and dawn somewhere else. He was describing a single instant crossing every time zone before anyone knew there were time zones.

And the night is the one He named. Trumpets begins at sunset; the feast of the hidden day is the feast that opens in darkness. "The day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night" — to those in darkness. To those who read the leaves, "ye are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief." The bed is shared; the recognition is not. One sleeping is taken; the other wakes to the space beside them.

The Shulamite says it best: "I sleep, but my heart waketh; it is the voice of my beloved that knocketh."

Tonight, in Jerusalem, it is night. Lord may your will be done.

Revelation 7:9-12

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, ¹⁰ and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”  And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,  saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”
